CHOOSE LOVE IN 2016

Out with the old and in with the new. Starting a new year means new beginnings and pretty much anything is possible if we have an open mind, and open heart. What if we didn't need a "New Year's Eve"  to have a new beginning? We have the ability to have a new beginning everyday of the year. If we can just remember that our thoughts create our reality we'd choose different thoughts more frequently. It takes practice, like anything you want to become good at, and the more you do it...the more often it happen's, and the more Good begins to flow your way. When you open your heart...you lighten your load and true goodness awaits you with open arms.

I was on my way home from the grocery store when I passed this garage and it gave me such a positive feeling in my heart. I drove home, grabbed my tri-pod and headed back for this photo.  I encourage you to be spontaneous and take photos of anything that makes your heart happy.  I'd love for you to email me a favorite photo that touched your heart. I choose LOVE...what about you?

“The chief beauty about time is that you cannot waste it in advance.
The next year, the next day, the next hour are lying ready for you, as perfect, as unspoiled, as if you had never wasted or misapplied a single moment in all your life. You can turn over a new leaf every hour if you choose.”

GOLDEN MEMORIES

Looking back on 2015 I realized that being in my 50's was truly an "eye-opening" experience. There really is no need to sweat the little things, and you say, "I am who I am," and boy is that a great feeling! A world of opportunities can open up to you if you just relax and let go. You become comfortable in your own skin and self-assured, and its never to late to follow your dreams. So this New Year's Eve make a date with yourself to go out into the world and be your best YOU!  "Go For The Gold"

A.L.C. Gold Pleated Skirt / Sam & Lavi Black Silk Top / Lanvin Gold Shoes / House of Harlow /Clutch / Cuff Bracelet  from Urban Flower Grange Hall

Gold is always an elegant choice to set the tone for your festive evening. I was inspired when I saw my friends gold skirt. I thought, how timeless and feminine.  Every woman needs a shiny, pretty, gold skirt.

This House of Harlow clutch has a chain inside if you need to be hands free.

I also wore this Black Silk Sam & Lavi top with my blue jeans & white jeans. It's sexy and chic and it packs great.

Go out and have fun. Kick up your heels and dance, laugh, sing and feel alive!

There is no such thing as "dressing 50"  We are past the point when someone can say you're dressing too young.

If you're ever in Dallas, Urban Flower Grange Hall is a fantastic boutique. This great Cuff Bracelet came from there. It's filled with beautiful, unique and one-of-a-kind goodies.

Take some time to reflect back on the positive things in your life. Be grateful for the lessons, big or smile that you've learned, you wouldn't be you if it weren't for your experiences. Love yourself, be kind to yourself...and when you do everything around you will change for the better. We all have so much to offer, let's not play small... In 2016 let's all be brilliant together.

Take a leap of faith and begin this wondrous new year by believing. Believe in yourself, and believe that there is a loving source - just waiting to be asked to help you make your dreams come true.    Sarah Ban Breathnach

I want to hear what you did for New Year's Eve. Have a wonderful evening, no matter what you do, if you're going out, have fun when you're getting ready. I know you will shine wherever you are.

HOLIDAY BLACK AND WHITE

The holiday season is here and what to wear is the question. It's always fun to sparkle just as bright as the lights or there is the subtle, simple, timeless and dependable choice that consistenly works - black & white. We don't always have time in our busy lives to allow the time we'd like for getting ready. Having a few white tops and black pants in your closet will keep your look elegant and chic.

Helmut Lang Leather Pant  / There are so many great black leather pants to choose from. You can dress them up or down, wear with your flats, heels or your boots.

Fiat 500 / My favorite car I have ever driven!

This holiday season I hope you have a great time when you're out & about. Don't forget to enjoy  the moment while you are with your old friends and... meeting new ones.

What goes great with black & white?   Red Lips  After meeting Linda Rodin and admiring her, and her red lips, I couldn't wait to break out my favorite Red "Mucho-Mucho" by Valerie of Beverly Hills. If you haven't been to Valerie's, stop by. She has great things to choose from.

And a sequin skirt is a great addition to sparkle and shine at a holiday or black tie party. Alice & Olivia  /Black Sequin Skirt / Chanel Top / Gianvito Rossi / Pump. New Year's Eve is right around the corner.
