THE HUNTED FOX - MOANA DIXON

A few years ago I would pop into my favorite dance class with my favorite teacher...Samantha Rabon, and I'd workout with my favorite group of women. I became friends with Moana Dixon, and over time, we'd follow Samantha wherever she taught. One morning after Sam's class the three of us were chatting about life, dreams, our goals and I discovered Moana had a company called The Hunted Fox. She invited me over to her studio, and it was overflowing with the most beautiful pillows, rugs, and throws... I instantly went to pillow heaven.  I needed personal Thank You gift for an editor here in town, and she informed me of a special bee-spoke touch she likes to add. She engraves the name on a piece of leather that is placed on the back, then you write out your personalized message and her laser printer displays it on a thin sheet of wood. It looks incredible. Bring The Bands

Spring is in the air; Summer's on the way and so are short sleeves, swimsuits and your tone arms. Here are a few exercises that go where you go. Traveling with this one little band can help keep your arms nice and tone. I know I've said it before, but as we age we need to become a bit more aggressive when it comes to our triceps and biceps. 

Achieving toned arms come as a result of making changes to your diet, and we need to exercise all the major muscle groups in our arms and shoulders. It's never too late to start our quest for strong and beautiful arms. I promise you'll be happy you did.

All we need is a band. I like to tie a knot on one end for a better grip. Place one hand on your hip / begin to stretch your working arm at an angle in a slow and steady pace.  You will feel your muscle begin to quiver...that's a good sign / Do 20 for 2 reps / Change arms and repeat.

Wrap the band around your hand and now we are going to stretch out to the side / Have a slight bend in your knees / Add an isolated movement with your waste / you'll feel this in your bicep and tricep  / 20 on each side for 2 repetitions.

Sit on the band as if you were sitting on a swing / Grip both ends of the band / tuck your elbows in / Slowly begin to lift up and down / This is a small movement and you will feel the burn /  40 to 50 lifts, or whatever is best for you.

Your body is your temple. You and only you can make the choice to treat it in a loving way. There are many people who love and care about you and want you around for a long time. Take care of yourself...you're worth it.

Spring break is here and right around the corner is Summer. When it comes time to packing, it seems like we all overpack to say the least.  How about a boyfriend trouser. You can even roll up the pant legs if you wear with your flats, and you have the option to leave long for your heels at night. I used my Hèrmes scarf for my belt. I have this white shirt in black too.  

Pull on pant with elastic back. A slim tailored trouser fit with a laid-back feel.

I like to pull a little of my scarf out in the back for a little flair. 

Rolled cuffs with button and side detail.

I always have a scarf with me, you know when your in a hot city, and you can walk inside a restaurant or museum and your Blasted with air condition! I can wrap a scarf around my neck and instantly warm my entire body.

Accessories always tie in your wardrobe..For a last minute touch wrap it around your purse and off you go!  Sunglasses / EQUIPMENT

After discovering these travel bags a few years go, my packing has become organized and decluttered. Flight 101 is located here in Los Angeles on 3rd. Street / check their website for other locations. They have everything you need to turn you into a professional traveler. No need to stuff your luggage, you'll actually end up with space...someone gets a little nervous when the travel bags appear.

Spacepak bags are double sided with a convenient handle on top for easy access. Most of the time we don't wear everything we bring, it's nice to have options but It's always great to lighten your load. FYI I don't leave home without my silk pillowcase. You won't wake up with those creases on your face anymore, and that's a good thing. 

Choose a bright color so you don't leave it behind in your hotel room.

Now your luggage is light-weight, and filled with great options and most of all you have room to shop for pretty new pieces.
