Now, let’s talk about my favorite beauty gadget, the pretty and functional facial roller! It has taken off in popularity over the last couple of years and I recently upgraded to an electric one which took my rolling game to the next level! Korean Beauty Brands I Live For

Last year I had the opportunity to travel to South Korea, a land rich in history, known for its modern cities, fabulous food, K-pop and jaw-dropping…skincare!

I found so much of this vibrant culture captivating, but nothing grabbed my attention more than when I scored a front row seat to view Korean women’s perfect complexions while I was riding on the packed subway trains. Being able to witness the beauty up close and personal, I realized why Korean Beauty has such a cult following. Being the true beauty nerd that I am, I did a bit of digging about the history of this coveted regime.

During my research I found it interesting that Korean skincare and beauty was originally more about cultivating both inner and outer beauty. I love that! Total #goals that I also strive to manage daily in my own life as well. I continued to dig a little deeper and, even more impressive, traditionally Korean women made their own skincare products from natural ingredients! I’m thinking, Korean skincare may have been the OG for our modern-day movement known as clean beauty!  

South Korea may not have many natural resources to export, but they have something even more valuable, to American women anyway…face masks! I am a big mask-lover! Masking is a skin care step that I consider one of the best beauty routine hacks for a couple reasons…

#1 it allows me to multitask.

 I love to put on a mask while working or getting other things done around the house (after all, masking is an “action” word) so while the mask is doing its thing, I’m able to do my thing -  

#2 I love immediate gratification. With a good mask I can usually see instant results in the form of a plumper, smoother and more hydrated face.

While a true Korean skincare routine is typically a lengthy one… about 10 steps….I don’t have the time to go that deep with my products. I do always have time for a face mask though! They have been the perfect addition to my own abbreviated skincare routine.
