Lately, I’ve become a fan of Westman Atelier, her blush, eyeshadows, and lip suedes are so rich in color and texture and formulated with clean ingredients. Blush / Lip Suede FYI, her highlighters are glorious!

Frame Jeans are my #1 brand, they are true to size and fit really well, especially if you’re petite. These barrel jeans from Frame are super flattering because they elongate the legs. There’s also extra room in the hips and thighs because they’re so high-waisted. A way to balance out the 'oversize' look is to choose a tighter top with a belt to accentuate your waist and add a flowy scarf. Personally, I enjoy having options when it comes to coats. My first source for coats and jackets is Mango, they are affordable and always offer the latest trends when it comes to outerwear.

Because I literally live in denim, my favorite way to get creative in my closet is styling my chic & trendy tops, upscale shoes, and accessories with jeans that are affordable and comfortable. Personally, I find the high-waisted cuts look the best when it comes to a more “high-fashion” feel. Here in LA, my #1 boutique to splurge is Peri A. Everything I’ve purchased there, I’ll probably have and wear for a long time. She carries brands that are big in Europe, Asia, designers that are new on the scene, and super fashion-forward… and never a shortage of bags, jewelry, scarves, accessories - It’s full of fabulousness!

I Live in L.A., and My Friend Lives in Dallas—We Are Both Wearing These 4 Trends

Feels like home! returning back to where I lived in the ’80s now that our son is attending S.M.U and it’s a great feeling. Six years ago I met my dear friend Cathy Williamson pictured here and thanks to Chico’s who brought us together in NYC, along with other talented bloggers from the U.S. and we’ve all stayed in touch and supportive of one another. I could have never dreamed that one day I would return in this way. Not only have Cathy and I become close over the years but her whole family has also welcomed us in, (see her mom below) and we’re sooo grateful to have them close to Luca and look forward to our visits. This past weekend we had the best time in their kitchen with the fam and listening to their son’s fun college days. Oh and Cathy’s husband’s name… Buster and Buster and Buster (our dog) share the same birthday. It was all meant to be… I’m convinced!

Highland Park Village has great shopping along with our favorite spots, Honor Bar and Mi Cocina and the Christmas lights were a spectacular sight.

We turn to Janet Gunn and Cathy Williamson on a regular for their inspiring style. For reference, Gunn lives in L.A. and Williamson lives in Dallas. (Gunn has also lived in Texas in the past.) Given that we’re often intrigued by what people are wearing in various cities, we thought we’d get a sense from both of them about the specific trends they’re wearing the most right now for their busy lives in their respective cities—you know, to potentially spark some inspiration (regardless of where we all live).
