This year I am a little late on the gift guide for dads, but it’s never too late to say thank you to our son’s dad, Derek, even though our guy Luca is away working as a camp counselor and getting paid (yee-haw) this Father’s Day, it’s ok because he’s doing what he loves… and we love that!

We didn’t head off on a big adventure this year, but Derek and Luca love road trips and skiing, so there were a few of those priceless moments. Fathers are so important, and our world needs great dads! There is no rule book for parenting, however, listening, quality time, and being emotionally available are qualities kiddos need…and of course Love. Derek provides all that and more, and I’m so grateful and thrilled for our young man and his gift of a father who is present.

My dad and I - unfortunately, he passed away at a very young age in 1977. He would have been extremely proud of Luca and our family. My father graduated from T.C.U. in Ft. Worth, Texas, and was signed on to get his master’s degree at S.M.U. in Dallas where Luca attends college, unfortunately, he passed away a month before. It's a wonderful feeling to know my dad is watching over Luca and in a cosmic spiritual way,…I think my dad will receive his master’s degree.

The stylish Los Angeles–based duo recently shared with us the flat shoe trends they’re going to be opting for instead of heels this season. Next up, we thought we’d dive deeper into their stance on various basics and other versatile items.

Both Gunn and Meyers rely on basics to balance out their day-to-day ensembles. While they have go-to pieces they won’t give up due to their easy-to-style nature, there are some simple pieces they probably won’t wear as much this season given their somewhat outdated feeling. That Aloha Vibe - Hawaiian Shirts
I've been wearing Hawaiian Shirts for over 30 years now, It's just one of those wardrobe staples that hangs in my closet longing for summer and fun in the sun. When I see them hanging on the rack I can literally smell suntan lotion and plumerias and when I slip into these shirts I slip into that Aloha Spirit and that feels oh so good.
I've sourced out a few of my favorites listed below and my most recent discovery is from Tombolo (pictured center) thank you, Cathy… This brand is known for bringing back the golden era of Hawaiian Shirts and I couldn't agree more.

The above Hawaiian shirt is 29 years old. I had someone try to buy it off my back a few years ago on Kaui but I couldn’t part with it. The brand is Jams, it’s a men’s xs.
