COSTA PALMAS - A new resort community is taking shape on the East Cape of Baja California

Welcome to Costa Palmas Private Beach Club and Golf Course on the East Cape in Cabo San Lucas

If you’ve been dreaming about or maybe you’re in the market for a destination home in a private community along warm waters on the Sea of Cortez then I highly suggest looking at Costa Palmas; this property sits on 1,500 acres of the Sea of Cortez with stunning views of desert landscape with the picturesque scenery of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains; this is known as the quieter side of the Sea of Cortez and is the New Mexican resort community to keep your eye on.

Costa Palmas members includes access to the Four Seasons Resort along with the up and coming Amanvari (the first Aman property in Mexico) - For exclusive residences, a championship golf course, club, an elite marina, and a marina village where you will find plenty of options for dining and entertainment. The beach club, golf course and clubhouse are complete, the Yacht Club & Equestrian Center will soon follow.

GETTING HERE

After a quick 2 hour flight from Los Angeles and just a 45 minute drive from Los Cabos International Airport, there are direct and connecting flights daily from nearly every major city in the world. Costa Palmas is easily accessible, thanks to the 39 airports that offer direct flights to San Jose del Cabo. From Los Angeles you also have the Cabo Express option.

First stop - slip on the sandals and order the fish tacos from Pavillon a beachfront restaurant and bar by the sea with delicious food and a fun gathering for members to watch the sunset. You also have the Beach Club (pictured below) full service restaurant that serves Mediterranean cuisine with Mexican influences. All ingredients are sourced from the local organic farms, it’s a thriving farming culture - some 100 small organic farms are nearby…as they like to call it; The Bounty of Baja … oh except the olive oil that comes from Tuscany.

The Beach Club - Great gym - Cold plunge - Community area - Pool - Restaurant - Bar

This is so much more than a private club. It’s a community, on a calm clear sea surrounded by new friends and families. By the time we left the Costa Palmas team made us feel like family!

Here are just a few fun and sporty options at your fingertips. Tennis courts, Pickle Ball courts, Softball/Soccer Field, Pool Grotto, Basketball court and Jimmy’s Big Shot Café is ready to go. Owners in each respective community are offered membership to The Costa Palmas Beach & Yacht Club, and access to each communities’ respective hotel amenities.  The membership is a full family Legacy membership.

If you’re a golf lover then you will appreciate this incredible 18-hole championship course on Costa Palmas designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. with exquisite vistas of mountains and ocean views. Jimmy the golf pro was kind enough to cart me around the course and we made sure to stop by the local taco shack between the 7th and 13th holes. Thanks Jimmy! Clearly I need lessons :)

Lucha Libre - Between the 7th and 13th holes.

Lucha Libre is a favorite among Costa Palmas homeowners and Four Seasons guests – so don’t miss out on the tacos and the margaritas made by Tino pictured above. Gracias Tino!

Bikes are available at the entrance of Costa Palmas and it takes about 5 minutes (if you’re a scenic rider like myself) to visit the Four Seasons next door. I loved grabbing a green juice at the local coffee & juice bar along with a daily visit to the well curated boutique. Other activities organized by the staff; Snorkeling, diving, surfing, a hike to a waterfall, and stand-up-paddle and boating.

Costa Palmas, has opened a new restaurant, Mozza.

Water Taxis are the way to go, it’s so scenic!

Arrive in style from The Four Seasons; just a short water taxi away to Mozza. You’ll be dropped off at the dock for a fabulous dining experience.

The second night we went to Limon, located on The Four Seasons property, just a golf-cart ride away to this authentic secret lemon grove garden. Enjoy the show as the resident grill master prepares your meal sourced from Baja’s local seafood, and vegetable farms. There is a smoky wood burning grill and the garlic and herbs aroma is mouth-watering. It was a delicious and such a unique setting,..Can’t wait to go back! Make your reservation - +52 (624) 689-0292 On our last night we ate at The Nursery, a venue in Costa Palmas Resort that fits 10+ tables under a massive tree, with plants, cacti, flowers and chef-curated meals from fresh seafood to farm to table. The dishes were incredible, truly a special place and my favorite. We took a five minute water taxi then followed a candle lit pathway to this magical setting with a few of the CP team members.

Available for private events.

CP73 tequila launched last year with the debut of the Four Seasons resort and residences in Costa Palmas. CP73 is the brainchild of Jason Grosfeld, CEO of the property’s developer, Irongate. The “73” in the name refers both to his birth year and to the number of samples he tasted while perfecting the tequila. Only 168 numbered bottles were made in Amatitán, Jalisco, for this inaugural batch, and they’re only available at the Costa Palmas property.

Who knows… this just might be in your address book for the future…. and maybe we’ll meet there one day. Gracias Costa Palmas, we had the best time!! From managing director of CP; Michael Radovan “There’s a simple explanation for why the community is the ultimate base for yacht owners in Baja California. “You can own a villa in the sand with unobstructed Sea of Cortez views and a 100-foot dock at your front door with a boat sitting right here.: “That’s hard to beat” Thank you Michael, our experience was hard to beat!!
