Heading into fall - I’m a big fan of editing my closet at least once a month; I’m always inspired when I see what the new trends are, and that inspires me to make room for updates and let go of what no longer “sparks joy,” thanks to the queen of clearing out the clutter Marie Kondo! Also, clearing out my closet encourages me to adapt my style and try something new. I love the classics, and a chic street-style vibe is my go-to, but most of all, I like to keep it fresh, keep it stylish and keep it exciting!

FATHER'S DAY THANK YOU

This year I am a little late on the gift guide for dads, but it’s never too late to say thank you to our son’s dad, Derek, even though our guy Luca is away working as a camp counselor and getting paid (yee-haw) this Father’s Day, it’s ok because he’s doing what he loves… and we love that!

We didn’t head off on a big adventure this year, but Derek and Luca love road trips and skiing, so there were a few of those priceless moments. Fathers are so important, and our world needs great dads! There is no rule book for parenting, however, listening, quality time, and being emotionally available are qualities kiddos need…and of course Love. Derek provides all that and more, and I’m so grateful and thrilled for our young man and his gift of a father who is present.

My dad and I - unfortunately, he passed away at a very young age in 1977. He would have been extremely proud of Luca and our family. My father graduated from T.C.U. in Ft. Worth, Texas, and was signed on to get his master’s degree at S.M.U. in Dallas where Luca attends college, unfortunately, he passed away a month before. It's a wonderful feeling to know my dad is watching over Luca and in a cosmic spiritual way,…I think my dad will receive his master’s degree.

I Think Every Shoe Style Goes With This Sharp Spring Trend

I’m loving all the vibrant colors for spring, especially with women’s suits. I bought this Zara suit over a year ago, and it‘s on repeat for this spring and summer. In today’s Who What Wear feature, I paired it with my go-to shoe trends from dressy to casual. When it comes to dressing up for day or night, I prefer to put on a suit, although I am migrating to dresses a little more, I’ve just always been a pants girl. For me, suits are a welcome alternative to the evening dress, but it's also timeless and versatile.
